Make a mixtape

Who doesn’t love a mix-tape, whether it’s a shy romantic gesture or glorious memories of a happy summer? But they needn’t be just for family and friends: everyone needs a little music in their lives from youth groups to community centres. So whatever your musical passion – from tea-dance tunes from the 40s, to 70s disco classics or your pick of Beatles singles – why not put together a 20 to 30 minute CD and indulge those DJ fantasies.

If you only have a little time to spare in the evenings or weekends, here’s the easiest of ways to contribute to your local community organisation. Why not book a slot to say or word or two about your chosen tunes, and see how whether you can get people singing along.
Great too if your passion is music but you’ve never quite found the time to learn how to play the guitar.
