Many care homes welcome visitors popping in to see the people they work with for a cuppa, whether tea’s to your taste, or you like your caffeine in a coffee. Bringing some lively new conversation, it’s the easiest way to contribute to your local community without worrying about planning a new activity.
Come ready to share some of your own stories on life, and learn from your other peoples, you might uncover extraordinary life stories or local history or share an intimate love of trees. Whether it sparks a conversation about the weather, the war, the cost of the paper or the verdict on strictly come dancing... Dance in the conversation. We are a residential and dementia care home, we also run a day center seven days a week. Our home is situated on the drive with 366/145 buses from ilford station. Staff will welcome volunteers at the front door, just after signing in a senior member of staff will be introduced to the volunteer.
